PLEASANT VALLEY BAPTIST CHURCH (MISSIONARY) was established on the 4th Sunday in May 1917.  The charter members are as follows: J.B. Butler, Ida Bell Butler, T.J. Scott, Lois Scott, W. J. Scott Sr., Velma Scott, E. J. (Edd) Wilkinson, Drucy Wilkinson, W.H. Womack Sr., Myrtis Womack, Bessie Womack, Lella Gill, John Hester, C.W. Jones, Cage Jones, Myrtis Jones, Henry Miller, Inez Miller, Georgia Miller, E. L. Miller, and J.T. McDaniel.
